Silk & Cotton Charcoal Vest

matthew is a love who creates the most gorgeous pieces by hand in his Philadelphia studio. I discovered him on instagram years ago, finally meeting him in person in the fall of 2023. where I found him to be as delightful and talented and his work to be as gorgeous and covetable as I had dreamed it would be through my screens. I am so pleased to have him in the shop this season. many of his pieces are unique and or made out of dead stock, so definitely don’t delay. there is so much more to say about him, I could never do him justice. but on to this particular style:

sleeveless vest in crew neck or v-neck

cotton and silk noil dyed charcoal with natural dye and woven on hand loom in West Bengal. elongated madder root dyed grid is a technique called jamdani, an intricate embroidery done by skilled artisans during the weaving process. 

french seam construction, oversized boxy fit. small measures 29 inches across, 26 inches long. large measures 35 inches across and 32 inches long.

spot clean, hand wash cold, or dry clean. Made in Philadelphia.
